Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa
2400 E Missouri Ave
Phoenix, AZ 85016
On 39 manicured acres of pools, gardens,
tennis courts and spa, this Frank Lloyd Wright inspired hotel
in Phoenix, Arizona is an oasis of relaxation. Everything I looked
upon after stepping out of my car was stunning, from the shrubs
writing out the name of the hotel to the palms swaying to the
backdrop of camelback mountain. The resort is a combination of
low buildings which, true to Frank Lloyd Wright's design principles
(who consulted on the property's construction in 1929), melt
into the desert surroundings of the tip of the Phoenix Mountain
Preserve.
| The front desk was quick and
efficient and I was pleased to discover that three of the five
types of rooms offer patios or balconies, which in this tranquil
environment is a must. After the brief check-in, I was off to
my Premier room, one of 738 rooms on property. My room offered
a furnished gated patio opening onto the main pool. Spacious
and upholstered in light to medium earth tones, the Mission style
furnishings combine woods and leather for a contemporary look.
Also included was a desk as well as footstools for both of the
queen beds. The bathroom offered a marble bath, two vanities
as well as cleansers exclusive to the Biltmore resort. Upon sitting
down on the bed to take of my shoes, I lay back and promptly
fell asleep in the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. |

The Paradise pool, a combination of three
pools with a 92-foot water slide at one end, is surrounded by
trees and shady cabanas available for rent. Pool-side orders
are delivered quickly by friendly wait staff and use the freshest
ingredients. It is easy to lie still and take in the beauty,
or go indoors for a pampering treatment at the 22,000 square
foot spa. Take advantage of the adjacent Arizona Biltmore Country
Club for golf, or play tennis onsite at the resort.
Frequently visited by celebrities, it is
clear why this property has set a standard for Arizona style
and luxury. The landscape, service and amenities set this resort
above par for elegance and quality.
