InterContinental Hotels Group, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has made a new deal between its Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands and Keurig Green Mountain. Beginning in 2016, all Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in the United States will have in-room Keurig K130 brewers and select Keurig K-Cup coffee products.

This year, through this new relationship with Keurig, we are taking the next step and providing a high-quality solution for our in-room coffee offering at both Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn hotels. This new standard is expected to enhance our guests’ experience through the delivery of a great cup of coffee, and will drive operational efficiencies and brand perception, which are both important to our owners.”
The Keurig K130 brewer is designed to offer hotel guests a touch of home when they are away from home. IHG completed guest research which found that the overwhelming majority of target guests knew of and had used a Keurig brewer. Its step-by-step instructions allow guests – even a first time user – to easily operate the brewer. With the Keurig single cup brewing system, guests can brew a single cup at the touch of a button, and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee with no mess or clean-up. Additionally, each Keurig K-Cup pod is complete with a filter and fresh ground coffee sealed inside to preserve freshness. The simple and convenient coffee experience is favored by guests and has strong potential to improve guest experience and deliver a great tasting beverage.

The new coffee offering will roll out to guestrooms at all Holiday Inn Express hotels in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2016, and the new machines will be introduced at Holiday Inn hotels beginning in the third quarter of 2016.
