DoubleTree Opens in Russian Sports Capital

MOSCOW, Russia and MCLEAN, VA –Hilton Worldwide has officially opened DoubleTree by Hilton Kazan City Center, expanding the brand’s growing Russian portfolio in one of the key locations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Designed by Russian architect Aleksandr Dorokhov, the 96 guest room hotel is located in the heart of Kazan and takes inspiration from European architectural traditions, with traditional Tatar design and décor, creating the warmth and cosiness of home.

DoubleTree by Hilton Kazan City Center’s restaurant, KEDR, serves a delicious mixture of international and local cuisine, and offers a tempting wine list. The hotel’s terrace is open all year, providing the perfect place to escape the buzz of Kazan city and relax. State-of-the-art meeting space can accommodate up to 60 guests, which features a modern style while retaining the hotel’s classic lighting and design characteristics.

Kazan is one of Russia’s largest and most populous cities, celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and located on the Volga, the longest river in Europe. Renowned for its sporting associations, Kazan will be a key game city for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Benefiting from a central city location, guests are in close proximity to the historical Chernyshevskogo Street and vibrant energy of Baumana and Bulak streets. Kazan International Airport is a 26 kilometres from the hotel, while Kazan Railway Station and Kremlevskaya Metro are a short walk from the hotel.
