PALM SPRINGS, CA and MCLEAN, VA – DoubleTree by Hilton, one of Hilton Worldwide‘s twelve brands, has officially opened the DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs, a contemporary 289-room full service hotel located a short distance from Downtown Palm Springs and just three miles from Palm Springs International Airport. Previously the Desert Princess Palm Springs Golf Resort, the property has recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation including a total redesign of the lobby, guestrooms, meeting rooms and restaurants, as well as the addition of a new bar. DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs is managed by Evolution Hospitality.

“Situated below the breathtaking San Jacinto Mountains, DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs is a true desert oasis, complete with a 27-hole championship golf course, nine tennis courts and a full-service spa,” said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “We are eager to bring our signature warm welcome to guests in the Palm Springs area, and with its prime location, sweeping views and full service-amenities, DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs is the perfect addition to our brand’s growing portfolio.”

Offering an upscale retreat, DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs debuts a contemporary look with mid-century design elements. The interior of the hotel, created by LA-based Rodrigo Vargas Design, was inspired by Palm Springs’ beautiful landscape, marked by natural textures, granite, marble and walnut wood, and custom artwork throughout. The hotel’s guestrooms and suites all have patios or balconies with spectacular views, 48″ HDTVs, mini-refrigerators and the inviting Sweet Dreams bed experience. Corner Suites offer upgraded furnishings, a separate bedroom, living room with dining area, second bathroom and expansive wrap-around balconies. The 1,100 square-foot Presidential Suite is ideal for special events or extended stays, offering all the amenities featured in the Corner Suites plus a breakfast bar and kitchenette. Complimentary amenities include WiFi throughout the hotel, an Olympic-size outdoor swimming pool, two hot tubs, a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center with all new LifeFitness equipment, and a 24-hour business center.

DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs welcomes two new food and beverage options appealing to any palate. As part of the hotel’s transformation, Polanco Kitchen offers Southern Californian inspired fare with a Baja twist, with dishes such as Tajin crusted salmon, bacon wrapped achiote prawns and the house specialty braised short ribs. Those looking to unwind at the end of the day will enjoy the new Mira Bar, featuring signature cocktails like its blue agave margarita and a selection of local craft beers complemented with awe-inspiring views of the golf course and San Jacinto Mountains beyond. Guests can start their day with DoubleTree by Hilton’s Wake Up DoubleTree Breakfast, while those preferring to dine in the comfort of their room can conveniently order room service.

Located adjacent to the hotel, the Desert Princess Palm Springs Country Club provides an abundance of resort amenities to DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs guests. In addition to the 27-hole championship golf course, full-service spa and tennis courts, the country club also offers a pro golf shop, driving range and putting green, Olympic-size swimming pool, and racquetball, basketball, bocce ball and pickleball courts.

Featuring 18,000 square feet of flexible event space, including two ballrooms and 12 meeting rooms, DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs offers an ideal venue for meetings and events of up to 580 people. For smaller group meetings, the hotel offers the Meetings Simplified by DoubleTree by Hilton package from $72 per person, which includes the meeting room, basic meeting Wi-Fi, meeting room supplies including a flipchart, markers, extension and power cord, and all-day non-alcoholic beverage service. Catering services and a dedicated events staff are available to ensure every event is truly special.

“Once the glamorous playground for celebrity icons of the 1960s, Palm Springs is now known for its bustling downtown, love of art, beautiful scenery and renowned music festivals,” said Martin Greenwood, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs. “We are eager to open our doors to all who travel to the area, and look forward to bringing the renowned DoubleTree by Hilton brand to the community.”

Ideally-located near downtown Palm Springs, DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs is convenient to a number of local attractions. Guests can take in stunning views of the area on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, shop the Desert Hills Premium Outlets or the El Paseo Shopping District, roll the dice at a nearby casino or explore desert wildlife at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens.

In addition to the warm chocolate chip cookie welcome, guests will enjoy other DoubleTree by Hilton brand amenities, including an assortment of gourmet in-room tea and coffee choices from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, the refreshing Aroma Actives natural skin and body care line, and an industry-recognized service culture built around the idea of CARE, which stands for Create a Rewarding Experience for guests, team members and the community.
