The hotel, formerly a multi-use office building that underwent a multi-million dollar renovation, was developed and is owned by HRI Properties LLC and operated by HRI Lodging LLC. Locally-based U.S. Bank provided the financing to HRI to undertake the extensive rehabilitation project.

The Embassy Suites Minneapolis Downtown pays homage to the Plymouth Building’s original Beaux-Arts architecture, preserving such historic details as tall entry doors, marble guestroom corridors, granite staircases and oversized guest room windows.
